Poppy Parent Workshops
During September and October all year groups took part in a number of poppy making workshops. We had many families and friends support the children who had the opportunity to make a poppy for our Weeping Window display. Other arts and crafts activities took place during the workshops and this work will be used in our WW1 exhibition. We would like to thank our parents for attending the workshops.

Thank you to all the parents who turned up on Wednesday 13th November to find out how we teach reading at Stirchley. Our parents were also shown examples of the year one phonics tests and ways in which they can support their children.
If you missed the meeting a copy of the PowerPoint can be seen below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Sweeney who will be happy to assist you.

Year One Design and Technology Workshop
On Wednesday 13th February the year 1 children invited a member of their family into school to take part in a creative workshop. The point of the workshop was to create a cuddly fish toy using different joining techniques such as sewing and gluing. The children and their parents had lots of different creative materials to choose from when making their fish, including sequins, glitter and beads. Both the children and their parents had a fantastic time and as you can see from the photos the fish they created were amazing!
