Slavery Year 6
Year Six’s Slavery Week
Year 6 have been studying the emotive topic of slavery. Their research and written work has been followed by three hugely successful art sessions.
Session One: This session required the children to produce a drawing using the media of their choice. The work is now on display inside the classroom.
Session Two: This session required the children to use scale to produce a six part copy of a print of a slave. The work is now on display outside the classroom.
Session Three: This session required the children to use clay to sculpt a hand/s tied with chains. The sculptures have received an incredible reaction from all adults and children in school and I’m sure you can see why!
